Know the feeling? The first truly gray autumn day arrives, and suddenly nothing sounds better than warm, freshly baked bread – best of all if the kitchen smells like it all day long. That's exactly one of the most beautiful kitchen hacks the Thermomix has up its sleeve: baking bread with the Thermomix is easier than most people think. No long kneading by hand, no mess, no dough everywhere. Yet you'll end up with a result that looks (and above all tastes) great.

Here we'll show you how to get started with a Thermomix bread baking recipe in a relaxed way, which recipes are perfect for autumn, and which accessories really help.

Baking bread with the Thermomix: How to get the dough just right

The foundation of every good bread is the dough – and that's exactly where the Thermomix shines. Whether sourdough, yeast dough, or a rustic whole grain loaf: the machine kneads evenly and gently, without you having to stand by. You put the Thermomix bread dough together in 3–5 minutes depending on the recipe, then the Thermomix takes over the rest.

A quick basic recipe for autumn:

- 500 g flour (Type 550 or spelt 630)

- 300 g lukewarm water

- 1 packet of dry yeast

- 1 tsp salt

- 1 tsp sugar

- Optional: walnuts, pumpkin seeds, or rosemary for that autumn flavor

1. Add water, yeast, and sugar to the mixing bowl – heat for 2 min / 37°C / speed 2.

2. Add flour and salt – knead for 3 min / dough mode.

3. Place the dough in a bowl, cover, and let it rise for 45–60 minutes.

4. Knead briefly once more, shape, and bake at 200°C for approx. 35–40 minutes.

When you take the dough out of the mixing bowl or prepare the pan, a good tool is worth its weight in gold. Our mixcover wooden spatula (€6.95) gets the job done cleanly without scratching the surface of the bowl – and looks pretty good doing it.

Thermomix baking in autumn: The baking liner is your best friend

Who hasn't experienced it: the bread sticks to the tray, and the crust tears when you try to remove it. With the mixcover reusable baking liner (€9.95), that simply doesn't happen anymore. Reusable, heat-resistant, fits the TM6, TM5, and TM31. Lay it down, place the dough on top, and into the oven. Done.
